This course will cover culturally sensitive practices for academic and behavioral interventions in our school and teach participants how to (1) be culturally sensitive and aware when students exhibit concerns with attendance, behavior, and/or academics, (2) distinguish social cues between different ethnic backgrounds which may otherwise be confused as neglect and/or carelessness towards their children, (3) analyze meaningful interventions that will help students perform better academically, (4) improve school connectedness, (5) consider and review current research and date that supports higher level functioning and improve results for students in the classroom.
