“Active shooter situations”, as defined by the FBI, are those where an individual or individuals is “actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area.” Active shooters / armed assailants frequently use firearms but attacks of this type can also be made with other types of weapons (knifes, swords, etc.). These situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Because of this, individuals must be prepared to deal with an active shooter / armed assailant situation before law enforcement personnel arrive on the scene. We believe this SDCOE program is the best Armed Assailant training suited for Pre-K – 12 schools of any available today.
